It's such an exciting time to be a creator. Here's how we're celebrating it.

The homecoming

Old faces, new faces, one room. Your name tag tells everyone what kind of Xiaomao you are, so the conversations start themselves.

The unveiling

Studio of One, the content studio I've been building, live on the big screen. Raw clip goes in, finished reel comes out. Then you get to play with it.

A special guest

A creator with a very big following, on what's working in social media right now. Name drop very soon.

Cake, obviously

Food, drinks and a proper cake. Flour is free, but this one we're buying.

A brand-new track

I made a song for this party. You'll be the first people on earth to hear it.

Party-only treats

A few goodies you can only get if you're in the room. That's all I'm saying.

• Why now

I'm coming out of the woods.

The last two years held a lot of change. Loss, pivots, and outgrowing the old office and the old way of doing things. I never stopped making things. I built one bridge at a time, and they're all leading to the same place now.

It's also one of the last parties at Apartmentofu before it closes in April. So yes, this one counts.
